I just randomly thought about this and thought it would be interesting to hear your stories about how you came about to liking this subculture. >___> I'll start:

Back then (2023-early 2024 I believe), I used to be a generic sparkledog artist going by the name RaverLovesKitties on dA, drawing a lot of, well, sparkledogs... I remember that I watched a lot of nuglamfur-adjacent artists back then too but didn't really know that they were glamfur. My memory's a bit blurry, but one day I remember searching up something and a piece of Kur's art appeared in the results, said art being this one (I think I also saw some of Unity's art earlier than that too? though it didn't really drive me to get influenced by this style of art like kur's did):

and, well, as expected, I instantly fell in love. I tried really hard to replicate the style and stuff, and that love still burns brightly today, even if my art strayed, far, FAR away from my original more Kaz+Kur inspired style. I then decided that my old art wasn't really good enough so I purged my account and started anew. I still have some of my old art archived but some of it has been completely lost sadly :( but there you have it, my story. would love to hear some you guys' stories soon too ^____^

For me, it was being obsessed with two dA artists who drew in similar vein but with gloomdogs (and much later), PanicPavo and p1nk1ce! I loved their morbid gothic anthro aesthetic to bits and wanted to find more artists like that - then I came across glamfur stuff on VCL (back when it was still active) by accident - I think it was either Kaz or Sheepy or even Bara-chan. Then I knew what I wanted to do artwise, lol! I take heavy inspiration from Kur (heck, look at my site for heaven’s sake :P) and from Lee*Lee (I loved how she drew her anthros and shaded her CG pieces) because they really hit the nail on the head on elements like in art idk. I wish Kaz and Kur's character writing was archived because it sounded really cool :( I wouldn't call myself a f*rry for personal reasons though -_-

ouh, very interesting! and i get that whole not wanting to identify as a furry thing, i used to do that too. a lot of furries i used to look up to ended up being weird fucks :/

Me three. I don't want to get outed as that because I don't want to end up in the outskirts of the internet for drawing bipedal animals with a wicked sense of fashion (and a weird person who does terrible things to animals) :p
